Getting started

Add TRAINLY, sign in, and publish the first course.

Create the Discord application

In the Discord developer portal, create an application. Copy the client id and client secret into the web service. Create a bot, turn on the Server Members intent so /trainees can read who has the Trainee role, and copy the bot token into the bot service.

Invite the bot

Use the invite link from the site or from /invite. TRAINLY asks for Manage Roles, Change Nickname, View Channel, Send Messages, and Embed Links. Put the TRAINLY role above every role it should grant or remove. Commands work as soon as it joins. There is nothing to activate.

Open the desk

Sign in with Discord. The server list shows communities where you have Manage Server and the bot is present. On a local demo, use the demo sign-in instead. Pick a server, import a template, and publish it.

File a result

A trainee reads the modules and takes the quiz. A trainer opens a ride-along, scores each line, and submits pass or fail. A pass can grant roles and post an embed in the result channel.
